AR400 Plates are abrasion-resistant steel sheets with an average hardness of 360–440 BHN, engineered to resist sliding wear, gouging, and moderate impact. They are widely used in mining, construction, material handling, and recycling industries — especially for parts exposed to high friction such as liners, hoppers, chutes, and loader buckets. These plates offer an ideal balance between hardness and toughness, making them easy to cut, weld, and form for various industrial applications.
At Hindustan Steel Corporation, we stock HIND HARD 400, a proprietary Indian-grade alternative to imported AR400 steel. We also supply equivalent grades from domestic mills and selected global brands. All materials are available in mill-finished, sheared, or CNC-profiled condition with complete traceability and test certificates.
