Abrex 400 Plate is a globally recognized wear-resistant steel plate manufactured by NSSMC (Nippon Steel) in Japan. Known for its uniform hardness (~400 BHN), excellent surface finish, and toughness, it is widely used in mining, material handling, cement plants, and recycling sectors.
At Hindustan Steel Corporation, we also offer HIND HARD 400 — a cost-effective Indian alternative to Abrex 400, backed with mill certifications and cut-to-size service.
Abrex 400 is a through-hardened, abrasion-resistant plate designed to deliver 2–3 times the wear life of mild steel. Thanks to its low carbon chemistry, it offers better formability and weldability than many competing AR plates.
