JFE Everhard 400 (EH400) is a high-performance wear resistant steel plate developed by JFE Steel Corporation, Japan, known for its excellent balance of hardness, formability, and weldability. With a nominal hardness of ~400 BHN, this plate offers a long service life in moderate to heavy abrasion environments.

JFE EH400 is a quenched and tempered wear plate designed to provide extended life and reduce downtime in abrasive environments. With a Brinell hardness of 370–430 HBW, it offers superior resistance against sliding wear, while still retaining formability and moderate weldability compared to harder grades like EH500 or EH360LE.
Used widely in construction, mining, and transportation equipment, EH400 strikes the right balance between durability and workability.
This Japanese-made abrasion resistant plate is ideal for equipment exposed to moderate impact and consistent surface abrasion. It extends the lifespan of critical machine parts in material transfer, excavation, and handling systems.
